Companies that breed larvae and are capable of producing feed proteins, oils and soil conditioning products from them will be of strategic importance in the future. Supporting such environmentally friendly investments is also quite significant for the national economy, not only because they create jobs, but also because they will be able to replace more and more feed protein sources with sustainably produced protein with high amino and fatty acid content. In addition, the range of premium organic soil improvers will be extended to conventional and organic farmers who do not want to use chemical fertilisers to condition their land.
These facilities can operate without the noise and odours that are a nuisance to the environment. It is no coincidence that there have been no problems with such investments so far, even though such large-scale plants are opening up in the Netherlands, France and Germany.
